1 The laying length of fitting plain ends is not necessarily the same as the gauge length. In general, depending on the fitting configuration (C110 or C153, etc.) and also the size and joint, the laying length of a fitting plain end will be approximately 8"-10" longer than the laying length of the same fitting (with a) bell end. Consult AMERICAN when more precise dimensions are required.
